Happy Wellness Wednesday Loves!!! Hope your week has been off to a great start!!

This week I picked up some Peached at the Farmers market  and these peaches were so incredible. SO naturally sweet!

Peaches are high in fibre, vitamins, and minerals. They also contain beneficial plant compounds like antioxidants, which can help protect your body from aging and disease.Who doesn’t love peaches. They are fantastic when when in season.Peaches may also help lower your immune system’s response to allergens, thus reducing allergy symptom. Compounds found in peaches and peach flowers may help keep your skin healthy by maintaining moisture and protecting against sun damage. Peaches are widely available and can be eaten in a variety of ways. Enjoy them on their own or easily incorporate them into main dishes, sides, smoothies, or desserts. How do you like to eat your peaches? Me: Peaches & Cream Obvisiouly 😉 

I wanted to make classic Grilled Peaches with a twist. I grilled my peaches and made a savoury Grilled Peaches Flatbread and a Dairy Free Maple Peaches and Cream.  This dynamic Duo was so tasty and super simple to make.

The ingredients for the flatbread were so fresh and gave the flatbread bursts of all flavours.

Ingredients:

Garlic Flatbread,

2 tbsp Feta

1/2 Jalapeño pepper chopped

1/2 sweet Onion diced

5 Basil leaves

1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar.

1 tsp Olive Oil

The desert was even easier.

Ingredients:

Dairy Free Maple ice cream

1 tbsp Maple syrup

1 Mint sprig.

And the star of the show was the Peaches!.

One of my favourite reasons to use a Diffuser is with Essential Oils. I love to diffuse oils for so many reasons. Here are just some of the Benefits of Essential Oils.

Blueberry Lemon Banana Bread | Organic Blueberries | Summer Treats.

Hey Loves!!

I have a tasty new recipe to share with you. My brother came to visit this past week and he brought Tons of Organic Blueberries. These blueberries are so sweet, I literally was sitting and eating handfuls. I love blueberries in banana bread so I made this delicious loaf. It is the perfect addition to a nice cup of cafesito.

This recipe is super easy and makes a good sized loaf! It also freezes very well.

Here is what you will need: 

1 cup of Blueberries 

2 cups of Gluten free All-purpose Flour

2 eggs

1/2 Greek yogurt plain

1 tsp Baking powder 

1/2 tsp salt 

1 tbsp Lemon juice 

1/2 Cup vegan Butter 

2 Tbsp of coconut Sugar 

2 Ripe Bananas 

Step 1 : In a large mixing bowl, add sugar and butter. Blend on low for 2 mins until it becomes fluffy. 

Step 2: Add wet ingredients, egg, yogurt, lemon juice and bananas. Mix on medium for 3 mins. 

Step 3: Preheat oven to  350. Add your Dry ingredients and mix on med for another 3 mins.

Step 4: Fold in Blueberries ( leave 2 tbsp for topping). Spray your baking Bread mold. 

Step 5: Carefully pour into mold and top with the rest of blueberries. Tap mold to remove the bubbles and place in the oven for 55 mins. 

Step 6: after 55 mins place a toothpick into the bread and if it comes out clean it is complete. 

Step 7: Place on a cooling rack for 20 mins and then slice. 

Step 8: ENJOY!!

Chocolate Protein Brownie Mini Donuts 🍩

My loves! Okay.. THIS is the one recipe you need to try! LOL! Happy self love Sunday 💚💚

I love anything with chocolate and mini donuts 🍩!! Who doesn’t? I really wanted to combine two of my favourite sweet treats into one healthy recipe! Chocolate Protein Brownie Mini Donuts 🍩!!!

I added chocolate plant based whey protein and cocoa powder and almond milk!  These mini brownie were sooo rich and moist. I topped them with dairy free chocolate for some added chocolatey goodness! 🍫🍩🍩🍩🍩

I love using cocoa powder. Cocoa has been around for centuries. It is used in Medicines and body care rituals worldwide. Cocoa comes from beans produced by the Theobroma Cacao tree. Cocoa contains polyphenols, which are rich in antioxidantsl . Cocoa consumption can improve heart and blood vessel health and neurodegenerative diseases, improve your mood, and improve your skin. Overconsumption of chocolate is not going to be good for blood sugar control,  cocoa does have some anti-diabetic effects. Studies have shown that a higher intake of flavanols, including those from cocoa, can result in a lower risk of type 2 diabetes.  Cocoa products are associated with a lower weight, and the addition of cocoa to your diet may help achieve faster weight loss.

These donuts were so simple to make and you only need a few ingredients. This makes 8 Mini donuts.

Ingredients: 

1 scoop of chocolate protein 

1 egg

2 tablespoons coconut oil 

1/3 cup  almond milk 

1/3 cup + 1 tablespoon gluten free all purpose flour. 

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

1 tablespoon of coconut sugar

½ tsp. baking powder

1/3 cup dark chocolate melted 

1/3 sprinkles optional 

Step 1 : 

Pre-heat oven 350, spray donut trays with coconut oil spray. Combine all dry ingredients and mix well. 

Step 2: Add wet ingredients to bowl. Mix on med speed for 5 mins. Scrap sides of the bowl and continue for another 2 mins. 

Step 3: Add batter to a piping bag and pipe your donuts 🍩 Put in the oven for 10 mins. Until tooth pick comes out clean. 

Step 4: Allow to cool for 5 mins and transfer to cooling rack. 

Step 5: In a double boiler melt dark chocolate. Should take about 3 mins. remove from boiler and allow to rest. 

Step 6: when donuts are cooled down dip them into the chocolate and sprinkle them if you would like. Allow to cool or let the chocolate firm up. I placed them in the frigde for 10mins. 

Step 7: Enjoy 😊 lol 😝

Hey My Loves!! I really wanted to make an effort to include wellness into my blog. For me Balance is the key to me being the best version of myself. I notice my reactions to situations can be completely aligned with what I say and do when I am balanced.

For me the key to being balanced is aligned my mind, body and soul. For a long time I would search for peace in all of the wrong places. I learned the only peace I ever needed was inside of me. I call it my light. Now I pursue this light every single day. Whenever I try to go outside of myself I am thrown off balance and my mood is altered.

For me the best ways I have found balance are when I am in deep solitude, pray and meditation. This is when I am in complete harmony. It is the best feeling.

This week I found myself in a rather annoying senerio, I was in a huge department store with my mom, we usually go shop around and meet back up when we are down. As we were walking out of the store I started looking for my car keys and i could not find them anywhere. We looked for over an hour, and the staff even helped. I could feel myself getting upset and frustrated , I almost let my emotions get the best of me. I have been pursuing inner peace for along time and to have that ugly feeling come up made me uncomfortable. I walked away from everyone and was able to rationalize and called for the spare key at my house. I left my contact information with the manager with the description a big red pom pom keychain. I put good vibrations out and believed in a positive outcome and left. One of my things are to put the expectation and let it go. I woke up the next morning and it was the manager saying they had found my keys.

They found my keys!!

This was not a story about keys for me. It was about pursuing my peace everyday, so even when unfortunate things happen I know I can go inside and be completely at peace.

I wanted to share this story because I know that bad things are going to happen and we will feel emotions. I just want to be mentally strong so whatever comes my way I can stay on course and keep my joy. Self care is Self Love.

I hope for anyone reading this it helps you find you balance in life, so you can be in complete Harmony.

Baked Buffalo Cauliflower Bites “Wings” | Tasty Vegan Recipes | UMAMI

Hey Loves !!! This is one of my favourite Recipes! It is one of the most satisfying meals when you want comfort food. I know we all have those moments! This is my super simple Baked Cauliflower recipe.

I wanted to make these Cauliflower Bites Spicy and I used Franks Red Hot Sauce to make my Buffalo Sauce. Franks is a Cayenne Pepper Hot Sauce! Muy Caliente!! I love adding spices to my recipes and I use Cayenne Peppers for all its spicy benefits. Cayenne has even been referred to as the “king of medicinal herbs” and with good reason. Cayenne Peppers have an impressive nutrition profile, with a variety of antioxidants that are good for your overall health. Capsaicin, the active ingredient in cayenne peppers, is what gives them their medicinal properties. Capsaicin in cayenne peppers will aid in boosting your metabolism. Cayenne peppers may help improve your digestive health and reduce your risk of stomach ulcers. The capsaicin in cayenne peppers may help reduce your hunger, helping you eat less throughout the day. Capsaicin has potent pain-relieving properties when applied to the skin in a cream. Cayenne peppers are easy to incorporate into your diet. These are just a few reason why I love cayenne pepper. The recipe for these amazing Baked Buffalo Cauliflower bites was super simple. Here is everything you will need:

Ingredients:

1/2 Cauliflower

1 tsp Goya Adobo

1 tsp Garlic Pwd

1 tsp Onion pwd

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp paprika

1 cup Gluten Free All- purpose Flower

1/3 Cup of almond milk

2 tbsp Water

2 tbsp of vegan butter

3 tbsp franks red hot sauce

Baked Buffalo Cauliflower Bites “wings” Video

Step 1: Prep and wash your cauliflower throughly. Cut stem off and cut into nice flourettes, nice bite size pieces.

Step 2: Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Start making the batter for your cauliflower bites. In a medium bowl add flour, milk , and spices. Mix until you have a smooth consistency. I added two Tbsp of water to make it the batter thinner and better for dipping.

Step 3: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and start dipping your cauliflower bites into batter and set them on baking sheet. When you have a full sheet put in the oven for 25 mins. Until the bottoms are nice and golden brown.

Step 4: Start making your Buffalo Sauce. Get 2 Tbsp of Vegan butter and melt for 10 seconds. Add 3 tbsp of Franks Red hot sauce. Mix well and when the cauliflower comes out after 25 mins you can start dipping the cauliflower into the buffalo sauce and putting them back onto the baking sheet. Put the bake into the over for another 10 mins to get crispy and golden.

Step 5: Allow to cool for 5 mins and serve with your favourite sides. I chose garlic dip and celery.

These wings were cooked in 35 mins, and gone in less than 10 mins. They are the definition of Umami. It sometimes is hard to achieve Umami eating a plant based diet but I think caulifower gives that perfect texture. SO GOOD!!

Let your Light Shine!

✨✨Happy Friday Everyone!! ✨✨

This week has been full of so many amazing little surprises. It seems like every interaction I have had has been so magical ! On Monday I brought my car into the dealership, the service advisor told me don’t worry It’s on me you always are so happy and full of joy. I’ll take care of it! (When does that happen at a car dealership, they usually pile on the charges) 💙💙 ✨✨✨💙💙 I truly did not expect anything. He was so genuine and I really appreciated that act of kindness.

One of my practices this year has been shifting my perspective. Excepting positive results in every senario. This has really been working. I focus on not letting anything steal me joy which was truly a challenge years before. I use to be so upset when things would happen. I was allowing people and situations to steal my joy. This year I have been the happiest I have ever been. I noticed that the energy I have been putting out has been returning abundantly and I would love to share my joy and light with you.

Strawberry & Cream Marbled Smoothie – With Agave Nectar.

I made this super light smoothie as a nice way to start your day. I  have been asked how I marble these drinks and it is sooo simple that I wanted to share with you. The key is the texture of the smoothie and the puree in this instances. I used agave in the puree and that gave the puree a nice thick texture and allowed it to stick to the glass and not move around. The smoothie was very light. Here is what you will need : 1 frozen bananas, 1 cup almond milk and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Blend, Blend Blend!! Super simple! 

Now here is the tricky part, you take a tsp of Strawberry puree and run it along the inside of the glass to create a marble effect.

Then step 2 is easy, gently pour your smoothie into the cup and garnish with strawberries!

Blue Agave is a plant that is part of the succulent family. Known for its fleshy leaves it is often compared to an aloe plant. However it is recognized for its Blue tint. Agave nectar is one of the main ways to consume this plant. The nectar is a fantastic replacement sweetener. I love to use Agave nectar in baking and in smoothies but Agave is great to use in almost every senario.  Agave contains saponins and fructans. Saponins have anti-inflammatory and immune system-boosting properties. Fructan is a fiber that has many health benefits, including being effective in weight loss. It has a low impact on blood sugar and helps to increase satiety and decrease appetite. Another way to use Agave Nectar is by incorparating it into your skin care. It has been used for many years to remove dead skin cells and reduced the appearance of wrinkles. Agave is also the plant that Tequila is made from. Cheers to all these amazing benefits from such a pretty plant! 
I love Agave and use it in a ton of recipes, it was so good in this puree and gave just enough sweetness.

DIY COFFEE SCRUB | Body Polishing Scrub made with Coconut oil and Jojoba Oil.

Hey my loves! Happy Self-care Sunday!!! Summer has arrived and I have to share my favourite DIY. It is my Coffee Body polishing scrub. It is so simple to make with only 4 ingredients. You will love how bright and radiant your skin looks after using this scrub. 

I truly do not think I can live without Coffee, I have tried lol ! 😜 I have fell in deep love with café. I love trying different coffee  whenever I travel. One of my most unforgettable experiences was in the dominican republic on a excursion we stopped at one of the tour guides “tia’s” homes and she made the most incredible cup of cafe. I truly felt blessed to have met her and connected over cafe. Happy Sunday everyone I hope you are having your café and connecting.☕️ 💚💚💚

I wanted to share this DIY recipe with you so you could make it for yourself. Its so cheap and easy easy to make. I love products like anyone else but for me they sometimes have way to many fragrances and extra ingredients that can irritate my skin. This scrub is 4 simple clean ingredients and your skin will thank you!

Here is everything you will need :

4 tbsp of Coffee Grounds ( I used arabica coffee)

4 scoops/tbsp raw coconut sugar

4 tbsp coconut oil

3 tsp of jojoba oil

1 glass jar with a seal to keep your scrub fresh and dry in the shower.

IT IS SO SIMPLE!! All you will need to do is put all of your ingredients into the jar and give it a good mix.

DIY TIE DYE FRAPPUCCINO – SUMMER TREATS

DIY TIE DYE FRAPPUCCONO

Hey Loves! Welcome back to my channel. Today I wanted to share my take on the Starbucks Tie Dye Frappuccino. I created this colourful drink with almond milk and Vanilla Protein to make it non diary. It turned out incredible and was so easy to make. 

Here is what you will need: 

1 cup Almond Milk 

1 banana

1/2 cup ice

1 scoop plant based protein

1 tsp of Vanilla extract

1 drops Yellow food colouring. 

1 tsp of pink and blue food colour powder. 

1 tsp of sprinkles (optional) 

and lastly a blender of your choice. 

This was one of the more complex drink ideas I have decided to attempt. It is really impressive to look at but it wasn’t easy to get the food colouring powder to stick to the glass.

Here are my “simple” instructions:

First combine Bananas, Almond Milk , Protein Powder, Ice cubes and yellow food colouring. Blend away for 30 second.

Now is the fun part. Try to wet the inside of the cup so the food colouring powder will stick to the sides. I had to use a spoon to press the powder into the sides. It took a few minutes but it worked.

Then pour your Banana Frapp into the cup and watch the tie dye magic happen.
